Neneh Cherry – Nene Cherry, the daughter of Swedish artist Monica Karlsson and percussionist from Sierra Leone named Amadou Jah, bore her mother's surname as a child, until Monica met the famous jazz player Don Cherry. Together with Don and his ensemble, the family began to travel across Europe and North America during Don Cherry's tours. In addition to Nene and Titio, Monica's daughters from their first marriage, two more sons soon appeared in the family.
