Neneh Cherry – Nene Cherry, the daughter of Swedish artist Monica Karlsson and percussionist from Sierra Leone named Amadou Jah, bore her mother's surname as a child, until Monica met the famous jazz player Don Cherry. Together with Don and his ensemble, the family began to travel across Europe and North America during Don Cherry's tours.
