Scooter

Scooter is a German music group focused on rhythmic hardcore dance music.

The English-language compositions of this group are popular all over the world - the sales of their albums and singles have exceeded 25 million worldwide. Scooter is one of the most successful bands in German history.

In the mid-1990s, the group managed to transform the happy hardcore style into a pop-culture phenomenon and take it out of the deep underground in which it was at the beginning of the decade. Works such as "Endless Summer", "Friends", "Move Your Ass" reflect the fundamental aspects of happy hardcore sound - fast, groovy tempo and squeaky vocals reminiscent of a baby's voice. It was such a strong know-how that it entered the canonical image of this direction of electronic dance music and became a special hallmark of many happy hardcore musical compositions.

In 2002, the single "Nessaja" for the first time in the history of the group took first place in the German national single chart, ahead of the first hit of Scooter "Hyper Hyper" (second place in 1994), and the single "The Logical Song", which was released in the UK in the same year, took second place in the UK charts and went platinum in several countries, which, along with hitting the single "Fire" in 1997 at number 30 on the American Billboard chart (Hot Dance Music / Club Play chart) is one of the largest the group's achievements to date.

On April 30, 2008, the album "Jumping All Over The World", released in England, took first place, surpassing Madonna with the album "Hard Candy" and, at the beginning of the fourth week of sales, received "gold".

On August 22, 2008 the album "Jumping All Over The World" reached platinum status in the UK. The album was also certified gold in Germany.

In 2009, Scooter's single "Ti Sento" from the album "Under The Radar Over The Top" entered the Top 10 of the German music chart for the 23rd time. Since this chart was founded in 1956, no German band has had so many top ten hits. In second place with 13 hits are Modern Talking and Xavier Naidu.

In 2003, the clip “Weekend!” Made a lot of noise, which for a long time held the first place in the “10 Sexy” hit parade of the Muz-TV channel. There are many naked female dancers in the video. There are naked girls in the video for the song "Nessaja" (2002). Also criticized the video "The Night", where, in addition to "nudity", the entire recording was in the morgue. According to critics, not all clips of the collective can be called artistic success of the directors.

It should be noted that for each of these few clips, where the so-called "nudity" is present, a "censored" version is also released.
