Lighthouse Family

Paul Tucker and Tunde Bayewu met while attending college in Newcastle. The duo's debut album Ocean Drive was released in 1996 and was a huge success. Over 1.6 million copies have been sold in the UK alone.
From that moment on, the group gained great popularity in their homeland. The band's musical compositions were played almost every hour on the air of British radio stations. A little later, Lighthouse Family was recognized and loved all over the world.
According to critics, the music of Lighthouse Family has absorbed the best elements of the soul style. However, the musicians themselves have repeatedly stated that, unlike most soul compositions that tell about love and sex, their songs are a little about something else. The Lighthouse Family played music based, according to the duo, from their experiences. In 2003, the group disbanded. Both of its members took up other projects. Tunde Bayevu is now a solo artist and Paul Tucker has joined the rock group The Orange Lights.
