Nwapa had no intention of becoming a musician, he studied at the university to become a dentist. At first, music for Alban was just a hobby, and then it became a livelihood. In order to pay for his university studies, he got a job as a DJ at a popular nightclub in Stockholm called "Alphabet Street". After a while, his name became known among fans of Swedish club music. Alban later graduated from university and took a job as a practicing dentist, but his passion for music was not forgotten.
