By the mid-90s, the group already had five records, among which there were two bestsellers &quot;Badmotorfinger&quot; and &quot;Superunknown&quot;. The hit &quot;Black Hole Sun&quot; is still one of the most frequently played grunge songs on the radio along with the creations of Nirvana and Pearl Jam - Cornell and his comrades managed to record hits, if not for centuries, then certainly for decades. But at the same time, Cornell became closer and closer within the grunge style, he wanted experiments, and his bandmates were not very willing to support this desire, and then Chris decided to look for help on the side.</p><p> The first of these experiments is a collaboration with Alice Cooper, for whom Cornell writes the song &quot;Stolen Prayer&quot;, included in Cooper&#39;s album &quot;The Last Temptation&quot;. Collaboration with Cooper would not have worked if it had not been for the canceled concerts of Soundgarden - the relationship in the group became more complicated, and against the background of emotional throwing, Cornell began to have problems with his voice.
