The famous RUN-DMC video - "Sucker MC's" was released in 2004. Run-DMC was an American rap group that, along with Public Enemy and the NWA, dominated hip-hop in the 1980s. More than any other rap group, Run DMC has influenced the sound and style of modern hip-hop. They were the first rappers to break into the mainstream: their video clips were shown on MTV, and their singles were rotated in the pop charts. The group was formed by Joseph Simmons and Darryl McDaniels, who have known each other since childhood.
