Victoria Justice was born on February 19, 1993, in Florida, to Serena and Zach Justice. She is Puerto Rican on her mother's side, but has Irish, German, French and English roots (on her father's side). She and her family moved to Hollywood, California in 2003. In 2005, she auditioned and was admitted to the Music Program Theater at the renowned performing arts Los Angeles schools. Her family moved from Hollywood, Florida to Los Angeles when she was 11, Justice said she wanted to do commercials and films. Victoria has starred in commercials for companies such as Ralph Lauren, Gap and Guess. She has appeared in commercials for Peanut Butter, Toast Crunch and Ovaltine.

Victoria's acting career began to develop at the age of ten, when she was a guest guest on the television series Gilmore Girls. The following year, she was invited to the second episode of "All Tip-Top, or The Life of Zach and Cody." She also starred in the Nickelodeon television series Zoe 101 as Lola Martinez, a new student posing as an actress. During this time, Victoria returned to the studio again to record music for the series in 2010. She recorded the song "Make It Shine", which was a great success in the USA. Also on the Victorious TV series were some songs such as You're the Reason, Finally Falling, Beggin 'on Your Knees, Best Friend's Brother and Tell Me That You Love Me. Victoria recorded the song "Freak the Freak Out" for a special episode that lasted 45 minutes. The single became her third song to receive an official release, after "A Thousand Miles" and "Make It Shine" and was officially released on November 22, 2010.

Victoria was also a guest actress on the animated series Penguins of Madagascar, she voiced Stacy. Justice starred in the 2010 Nickelodeon original film The Boy Who Told About the Werewolf. She played the role of Jordan, the girl who turns into a werewolf. The film was a huge success, with 5.8 million viewers at its premiere.
