The popular Gossip video “Love Long Distance” was released in 2009. On January 23, 2001, Kill Rock Stars released the band's first official album That's Not What I Heard. On May 7, 2002, the band released the EP Arkansas Heat. A year later, the second album of the Movement group appeared. In November 2003, Mendonssa left the group and was replaced by Hannah Bliley. The band soon decided to get rid of the "The" article in the name. The first album with a new drummer - Standing in the Way of Control - was released only in 2006. The album was soon certified gold in the UK.
