The famous INXS music video - "Need You Tonight" was released in 1988. The band was originally called the Farriss Brothers and performed mainly covers of famous artists, including: Roxy Music, Elvis Costello, Steely Dan, Dobbie Brothers, Deep Purple and The Tubes. It consisted of Tim Farriss (guitar), John Farriss (drums) and Andrew Farriss (keyboards, guitar), Michael Hutchence (vocals), Kirk Pengilly (guitar, saxophone) and Harry Bierce (bass). Gradually, songs of their own composition began to appear in the group's repertoire, which were immediately performed at concerts.
