The famous AR Rahman music video “Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)” was released in 2009. Alla Rakha Rahman was born in Madras in 1966. At birth, he was named A.S. Dilip Kumar, but when he was 22 years old, his whole family converted to Islam and he took a new name. His father was a composer and conductor, wrote music for films. The boy studied music from the age of four, and at the age of 11 he began to play keyboards in the orchestra of the distinguished composer Ellaaraja. In his youth, Rahman also participated in amateur groups created by him with friends - he played the piano, synthesizer, harmonium and guitar. He still had his greatest addiction to the synthesizer, because, in his words, "it is the perfect combination of music and technology."
