The famous video Bob Geldof - "Crazy" was released in 1994. In music, he is known as the leader of the Irish punk-rock band The Boomtown Rats (after the breakup of the group in 1986, he began a solo career). The leading role played by Geldof in the film "The Wall" by Pink Floyd is widely known. In 1984, he and Midge Ure founded the charity supergroup Band Aid to raise money to help the starving children of Ethiopia, followed by the Live Aid charity concert the following year. In 2005 he organized a charity festival "Live 8", which took place in the G8 countries.
