Eduard Ilie was born in 1986 in Bucharest, where he graduated from a music school and is currently graduating from the conservatory. In parallel with his studies, Eduard launched an active musical activity to create and produce tracks for other Romanian artists. At the age of 19, together with his friend Eduard Carcota, he wrote the song "Tornero" for Mihai Traistariu, with which Traistariu took part in the Eurovision Song Contest and took 4th place. It was a real success for young composers.
Since then, Eduardo, who took the pseudonym Edward Maia, has received orders for songs and producing from various Romanian artists working and performing around the world - Akcent, Cassa Loco, Studio One, Marius Nedelcu, Blaxy Girls and others. 2009 Edward invited a familiar singer Vika Jigulina to work together, with whom they recorded the hit "Stereo Love".
In the same summer, "Stereo Love" became popular in clubs around the world, and the video for the song gained 26 million views on YouTube in 7 months. This success brought fame and concert offers to Edward, and the song continued to gain momentum in popularity, topping the charts in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2010, the song was nominated for the Balkan Music Awards in the category "Best Song" and has every chance of winning this competition. Meanwhile, Edward himself is in the studio preparing for the release of his debut album "The Stereo Love Show", which is scheduled to premiere in 2011.
