Elvis Presley - Hard Knocks

Текст песни: Some kids born with a silver spoon I guess that I was born a little too soon [Chorus:] Hard knocks, all I ever knew was hard knocks And I'm telling you, I said you'd better beware 'Cause I've had my share Hard knocks Some kids born as rich as a king But I was born without a doggone thing [Chorus] I walked a million miles I bet Tired and hungry and cold and wet I've heard that lonesome whistle blow From New York City down to Mexico Some kids born fancy free Nobody never gave nothing to me but [Chorus] I walked a million miles I bet Tired and hungry and cold and wet I've heard that lonesome whistle blow From New York City down to Mexico Some kids born fancy free Nobody never gave nothing to me but [Chorus:] I said you'd better beware 'Cause I've had my share I said you'd better beware 'Cause I've had my share of hard knocks

Elvis Presley –
In 1935, on January 8, the future king of the scene, Elvis Presley, was born. Since childhood, he was surrounded by religion, poverty and music. On his 11th birthday, Elvis received a guitar instead of the promised bike, which was beyond his family's means. Then he and his family moved to Memphis, where he became even more interested in blues and contemporary music.

At 18, Presley decided to visit Sam Phillips's record company, where he recorded his first songs, "My Happiness" and "That's When My Heartache Begins".

Later, in 1954, Sam himself plans to record several songs for Sun Records, and calls for this familiar guitarist and bass player, and in search of a vocalist decides to try Elvis.

The first single "That's All Right" was released on July 19, 1954 and, thanks to almost continuous airplay on the radio, sold 20,000 copies.
– Елвис Преслей элвис пресли прэсли

Some kids born with a silver spoon
I guess that I was born a little too soon

[Chorus:]
Hard knocks, all I ever knew was hard knocks
And I'm telling you, I said you'd better beware
'Cause I've had my share
Hard knocks

Some kids born as rich as a king
But I was born without a doggone thing

[Chorus]

I walked a million miles I bet
Tired and hungry and cold and wet
I've heard that lonesome whistle blow
From New York City down to Mexico

Some kids born fancy free
Nobody never gave nothing to me but

[Chorus]

I walked a million miles I bet
Tired and hungry and cold and wet
I've heard that lonesome whistle blow
From New York City down to Mexico

Some kids born fancy free
Nobody never gave nothing to me but

[Chorus:]
I said you'd better beware
'Cause I've had my share
I said you'd better beware
'Cause I've had my share of hard knocks
