Ne-Yo – Ne-Yo was born in Arkansas in 1979. His father (African American) and mother (African American and half Chinese) were musicians. Unfortunately, the family fell apart when Schaffer was still a child. The boy stayed with his mother, who moved with him to Los Angeles. By the early 2000s, Ne-Yo was already making music professionally and even signed a contract with Columbia Records. However, the company canceled the agreement with the rapper even before the release of his debut album, which Ne-Yo managed to record. Fortunately, singer Marques Houston somewhere heard one of Ne-Yo's tracks called "That Girl", which was supposed to be the first single from the rapper's unreleased album. Houston bought the rights to the song from Ne-Yo and released it on his own album. From that point on, Ne-Yo mainly began writing songs for other artists (his "clients" included Mary J. Blige and Musiq). His own material remained unpublished. –

Suffering from unspoken feelings, Ne-Yo in the video for the song "Do You" evokes such sympathy, I want to hug and caress. “Do you remember me at least sometimes? ..” - sings Shaffer Chimer Smith, but in the plot he is addressing a married lady who, judging by the lyrics of the song, gave birth to a daughter, albeit not from the lyrical hero of the song. Passions are serious, and the singer himself is a happy father of two children. Let's not call this clip autobiographical, but an interesting work.

Maybe this decision was a mistake.
You probably don't care what I have to say.
But it's been heavy on my mind for months now.
Guess I'm trying to clear some mental space.

I would love to talk to you in person.
But I understand why that can't be.
I'll leave you alone for good I promise.
If you answer this one question for me.

I just wonder,
Do you ever,
Think of me,
Anymore, do you?

First off let me say congragulations.
Heard that you just had a baby girl.
If she looks anything like her mother,
She's the prettiest thing in the world.

Swear that I'm not tryin' to start no trouble.
Tell your fiance he can relax.
I'll leave you alone for good I promise,
There's a question I just gotta ask.

I just wonder,
Do you ever,
Think of me,
Anymore, do you?

I know what we have is dead and gone.
Too many times I made you cry.
And I don't mean to interupt your life.
I just wonder do I ever cross your mind?

[4x:]
I just wonder,
Do you ever,
Think of me,
Anymore, do you?

Yeah, yeah, yeah
