Popular video Katy B feat. Ms Dynamite - "Lights On" was released in 2010. She was born in the Peckam quarter of Southwark, Greater London. In 2009, she was offered to sign a contract with major record companies; in 2010 she released her first single, "Katy on a Mission", on the Rinse label, which peaked at # 5 on the UK charts. In the same year she graduated from Goldsmiths College. In 2011, Katie B released her debut album On a Mission, which reached number two in the UK, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize and Q Awards.
