Tourette's syndrome is an inherited disorder of the nervous system, first described in 1885 by Georges Gilles de la Tourette. Symptoms of Tourette's disease are numerous speech and motor tics, involuntary sharp movements, coprolalia (impulsive, often uncontrollable urge to pronounce swear words).
