The famous music video for David Bowie - "Fame 90" was released in 1975. Most of the studio sessions for Young Americans were completed by the end of 1974, but Bowie was in no rush to release new material, and his contract with manager Tony Defries ended at that time. During this period, the singer lived in New York and met John Lennon. The musicians quickly hit it off and played together frequently, leading to a one-day session at Electric Lady Studios in January 1975. Bowie and Lennon recorded two songs that day, along with musicians from David's touring group.
