The famous video Cameo - "Candy" was released in 1986. Larry Blackmon was the initiator of this funky band. Initially, the group was called NEW YORK CITY PLAYERS, its core was Blackmon, Jenkins and Leftnant, and in total it was involved up to 13 people. Soon, the musicians signed a contract with the record label Casablanca, on which they released their first album, changing the name of the group to Cameo. The album, called Cardiac Arrest (1977), was preceded by the release of four singles, three of which entered the R&B charts: Rigor Mortis (No. 33), Funk Funk (No. 20) and Post Mortem (No. 70).
