The famous Rick Astley video "Hopelessly" was released in 1993. Rick Astley is married to Lyn Bocer. The couple have one child - daughter Emily, who was born in 1992. Rick met Lin when she was a promoter for RCA in 1988. His debut single "Never Gonna Give You Up" (1987) is a textbook dance recording of the second half of the 1980s. It spent five weeks at the top of the UK charts and became the highest grossing single of the year. The next single, "Together Forever" (1988), was more popular across the Atlantic, where it peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
