The popular clip Zucchero - "Vedo Nero" was released in 2010. Adelmo Fornacari was born in Reggio Emilia. He spent most of his childhood in the seaside town of Forte dei Marmi. As a child, he and his parents moved to Tuscany, began learning to play the organ in a local church. He got his nickname Dzukchero ("Sugar") from a school teacher. His musical career began in the 1970s with several low-key bands such as I ducali, Le nuove luci, Sugar & Daniel, Sugar & Candies and finally with a group called Taxi, with which he won the Castrocaro Music Festival in 1981.
