The famous Iron Maiden music video "Tailgunner" was released in 1992. The founder of the group, the author of most of the songs (both music and lyrics) and the permanent leader of the group is bass player Steve Harris. Under his leadership, the group, having undergone significant changes in the composition, went from performances in London pubs to intercontinental tours. The first line-up of the band included vocalist Paul Day, guitarists Terry Rance and Dave Sullivan, drummer Ron "Rebel" Matthews and Steve Harris himself. After their very first performance, the Iron Maiden members received word of the existence of a group with the same name, prompting the musicians to immediately register their name.
