The famous Deep Purple video - "Call Of The Wild" was released in 1987. The track was released on the album The House of Blue Light. The band got together to record the album on April 12, 1986 in Massachusetts, USA, but finished recording in Vermont. According to Ritchie Blackmore, the recording of this album was a long and painful process, many of the tracks had to be re-recorded. On September 26, 1986, Roger Glover began mixing the album at Union Studios in Munich. It was assumed that all members of the group would be present in order to make the final adjustments, but the musicians showed up and left the studio when they pleased.
