Blondie's famous music video "Detroit 442" was released in 1977. The band rose to fame after their 1978 album Parallel Lines. The songs from this album became international hits. In 1982 Blondie disbanded, Deborah Harry, the vocalist, began a solo career. In 1997 the band got together again and are still playing. The band was formed in August 1974 in New York and for the first four years were regarded as the star of the local rock underground. The composition of the participants changed until in 1977 it was fixed in the format of a sextet.
