Marilyn Manson's most scandalous video for the song "Coma White" appeared in 1999 and soon was heavily criticized and widely discussed. The video was directed by Samuel Beyer. The video contains not entirely historical, but a reconstruction of the events of November 22, 1963, when US President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Marilyn Manson played Kennedy, and the first lady was played by his girlfriend and future wife Rose McGowan.
