Union J's new video “Challenge Union J - Busking” was released in 2013. Cuthbert and Hensley first met while attending Sylvia Young Theater School in Westminster, London. Later, Humblett joined the group and they called themselves "Triple J" because their names began with a single "J". In May 2012, the trio and solo artist George Shelley auditioned in London for Season 9 of The X Factor. Triple J sang Rihanna's song "We Found Love" and Shelley sang an acoustic version of Britney Spears' song "Toxic" while playing guitar. All four went to the next round, receiving positive feedback from all judges.
