Owl City - House Wren

Текст песни: [Verse 1:] I'm a house wren, hunting for a house I haven't found one, I'm on the lookout For a home to call my own A private residence Through the grapevine I heard an empty gourd Is hangin' up somewhere on some old lady's porch I'll pack my bags and off I'll go To my new humble abode [Chorus:] I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs 'Cause it's a beautiful day I'm gonna spread my wings 'Cause as far as I know I am halfway home [Verse 2:] I'm a house wren who needs a summer home A country farmhouse or a quiet bungalow Not too big, and not too small First-rate real estate I got my eyes peeled for a window box An old tin can, a boot or a flower pot I'll pack my bags and off I'll go To my new humble abode [Chorus:] I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs 'Cause it's a beautiful day I'm gonna spread my wings 'Cause as far as I know I am halfway home [Verse 3:] I'm a house wren still hunting for a house But I got a song and a lot to sing about I'll pack my bags and off I'll go Because you know [Chorus:] I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs 'Cause it's a beautiful day I'm gonna spread my wings I'm on top of the world And it's a beautiful thing I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs 'Cause it's a beautiful day I'm gonna spread my wings 'Cause as far as I know I am halfway home [Outro:] I am halfway home

Owl City – Adam Young is the classic star of the internet age. He started making music in his basement at night during insomnia. Adam, who came up with the name Owl City for his project, diligently posted his things on MySpace, where they attracted more and more attention, and finally - a contract with Universal Republic! Album Maybe I'm Dreaming was released in 2008, and Young's energetic and romantic music immediately attracted a large number of fans, including from the indie rock environment. In 2009, the album Ocean Eyes was released on iTunes, the first single from which was the song Fireflies - it topped the American and Canadian charts and eventually became the most downloaded song on iTunes in the United States. At the moment, Adam and his live line-up are actively giving concerts and participating in collaborations with other artists. In addition, Adam is the leader of five more (!) Projects with strange names - Port Blue, Windsor Airlift, Dolphin Park, Insect Airport and Seagull Orchestra. Each of these projects was created to record some kind of music, for example, "oceanic" music - in fact, most of the musical material is composed of synthesized sounds without vocals. – Овл Циты

[Verse 1:]
I'm a house wren, hunting for a house
I haven't found one, I'm on the lookout
For a home to call my own
A private residence
Through the grapevine I heard an empty gourd
Is hangin' up somewhere on some old lady's porch
I'll pack my bags and off I'll go
To my new humble abode

[Chorus:]
I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs
'Cause it's a beautiful day
I'm gonna spread my wings
'Cause as far as I know
I am halfway home

[Verse 2:]
I'm a house wren who needs a summer home
A country farmhouse or a quiet bungalow
Not too big, and not too small
First-rate real estate
I got my eyes peeled for a window box
An old tin can, a boot or a flower pot
I'll pack my bags and off I'll go
To my new humble abode

[Chorus:]
I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs
'Cause it's a beautiful day
I'm gonna spread my wings
'Cause as far as I know
I am halfway home

[Verse 3:]
I'm a house wren still hunting for a house
But I got a song and a lot to sing about
I'll pack my bags and off I'll go
Because you know

[Chorus:]
I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs
'Cause it's a beautiful day
I'm gonna spread my wings
I'm on top of the world
And it's a beautiful thing
I'm gonna sing at the top of my lungs
'Cause it's a beautiful day
I'm gonna spread my wings
'Cause as far as I know
I am halfway home

[Outro:]
I am halfway home
