Foo Fighters
The Foo Fighters are an alternative American group founded by Dave Grohl, a former member of the Nirvana group. The very name of the group is taken from the slang of American pilots of the Second World War, who so called unidentified flying objects.
First, the band released the single "This Is A Call" in 1995, and a month later the first album "Foo Fighters", all the songs to which were written by Dave.
After touring in May 1997, the second album "The Color and the Shape" was released, later the singles "My Hero", "Monkey Wrench", and "Everlong" were released.
The record "There Is Nothing Left to Lose" was appreciated by listeners in 1999.
The fourth album, which was not written so quickly and was called "One by One", does not enjoy much love from the group.
In total, the group has seven studio albums, the last one - "Wasting Light" - was released in April 2011.
In February 2012, the Foo Fighters took five Grammy Awards at their 54th awards ceremony.
The band won in the nominations: Best Rock Song (Walk), Best Rock Album (Wasting Light), Best Performance of a Rock Composition (Walk), Best Performance of a Hard Rock / Metal Composition ( White Limo) and Best Longest Music Video for the documentary Foo Fighters: Back and Forth.
