Children Of Bodom's popular music video “Roundtrip To Hell And Back” was released in 2012. In March 2013, Children of Bodom released the tracklist, artwork and release date for their new album, Halo of Blood. The album was released by Nuclear Blast on June 6 in Europe and June 11 in North America. The album cover was designed by Sami Saramyaki, who previously did the artwork for Follow the Reaper, Are You Dead Yet? and Hate Crew Deathroll. On April 24, "Transference" was released - the first single from the album. On May 30, tracks from the album were leaked online.
