Murad Mervan Rim was born on July 13, 1977 in a suburb of Paris, Sarcelles, into a large family of immigrants from Algeria. Mervan has five sisters and an older brother who suffers from oligophrenia.

Already at the age of 16, he showed an interest in music, admiration for his favorite performers pushed him to independently master the guitar, piano, drums. At the age of 19, Mervan lost his father and was forced to leave college and hockey to help his family. The death of his father was an impetus for Mervan, he promised himself that he would definitely make his favorite hobby his profession. At the same time, Mervan managed to enter a music school, which he attended in secret from his mother, not wanting to tell her that he had dropped out of college. For nine months, he combined studying music, working as a night bartender and preparing breakfast at the hotel.

In 2000, Mervan auditioned for the musical "10 Commandments" by Pascal Obispo. At 22, he gets his first role, joining the troupe as a stunt double for Ramses. In this musical he played for three more years, performing both in France and in Belgium, Canada, Sweden.
In the musical by Maxime Le Forestier and Eli Shuraki, Mervan got into the role of Christophe Hérault's understudy in the role of David, but did not play a single performance in this role. Mervan once saved a musical by almost impromptu replacing Alan Chennevier as Krasus. He also played a minor role as a gladiator, which was included in the DVD version of the musical.
A few months later, Mervan landed his most famous role - the role of the Duke de Beaufort in the musical "The Sun King". The musical was a resounding success and gained many fans around the world.
In 2009, Mervan performed two small roles at once in the musical "Mozart, Rock Opera", where he plays an innkeeper and a demonic clown. In addition, Mervan has appeared on the stage more than once in the role of Salieri, replacing Florent Mota.
In 2007, Mervan recorded two duets with Canadian singer Marilu, and a video was shot for the song "Danser sur la lune".
