Madcon
The Madcon group was formed back in 1992 and quickly gained popularity in northern Europe. They supported almost all hip-hop musicians who visited the northern countries, including 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Wu-Tang Clan and others. The duo released their first single in 2000, and their first album " It's All a Madcon "- in 2004. For this album the band received a Norwegian Grammy and other awards. In 2005, Madcon became the characters and hosts of their own television show about work and "behind the scenes" life, which is very popular on Norwegian television. The duo rose to international fame in 2008 when they recorded a hip-hop rendition of the song "Beggin '" by The Four Seasons (the song was written in 1968). Having clearly grasped the fashion for sound and compositional moves of the 60s, Madcon gave "Beggin '" a soul-funk sound, and the catchy melody of the chorus made the track popular in Europe and Russia. In addition, in Norway, this song has become one of the biggest hits in the history of the country's music industry. In 2008 Madcon became the top-selling Norwegian artist.
