The Mayakovsky group became Mayakovsky only in January 2013. Prior to that, Ilya Samitov, Zhenya Potapchuk, Dima Tikhonov and Ilya Zelenov were good friends. The guys have known each other for a long time, often crossed paths on the sidelines of show business, went to play football together, but each had their own creative life, their own musical projects: Ilya Samitov was the lead singer of the KHAKI group. The star of the series "Ranetki" Dima Tikhonov managed to get roles in films and found a group called "Balabama". Ilya Zelenov was a virtuoso drummer in the 4Post group and even created his own drum show, with which he toured across Russia. But Zhenya Potapchuk came to Moscow when Ilya Samitov proposed to create a rock group. Moreover, Ilya already had several songs for a new project. Zhenya did not come empty-handed either, he brought with him excellent musical material.

The first joint songs of "Mayakovsky" were born in a warm home atmosphere - in the small kitchenette of Ilya Samitov. And when Zhenya and Ilya had enough material for an entire album, drummer Ilya Zelenov joined the creative tandem. Moreover, in musical circles, Ilya Grin has long established himself as a high-class professional, but what is there - a fan of his work!
Dima Tikhonov was the last to join the group. Rehearsal after rehearsal. And now a full-fledged concert program is ready. The musicians promise a lot of rock, a little pop and only live sound.
