Debuting in 2001 with the extraordinary song "Bird", PSY has been a fan favorite ever since. PSY was educated in the United States, graduated from Boston University and Berkeley College of Music. In 2012, choreography from his music video "Gangnam Style" made it onto the world news, followed by his 6th studio album, "PSY6". PSY is the world's first artist to lead the song “Gangnam Style” on the iTunes platform in 31 countries.
In early September 2012 PSY signed a contract with the American label Island Records, which will manage the artist's activities worldwide, with the exception of South Korea. And on September 6, 2012, he attended the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California (USA) as one of the VIP guests of the event.
PSY's hit "Gangnam Style" also peaked at # 1 on the UK National Chart despite the song being sung in Korean. Also with the same song, the Korean rapper reached # 1 on Billboard's “Digital Songs” chart and peaked at # 2 on the Billboard's “Hot 100” chart, and the music video for this track hit the Guinness Book of Records as the most liked video on the YouTube video portal for the whole his story.
