Влад Топалов
Vladislav Mikhailovich Topalov was born on October 25, 1985 in Moscow, Russia. Since childhood, he studied music, graduated from a music school, violin class. In the Topalov family, interest in music was hereditary. Vlad's father - Mikhail Genrikhovich Topalov (1960) - also graduated from a music school and a school of arts, piano. In 1990, Vlad, along with his younger sister Alina, were sent by their parents to the children's musical ensemble “Fidgets” under the direction of Elena Pindjoyan. Vlad was then five and a half years old. The future soloists of the Tatu group - Elena Katina and Yulia Volkova performed in the same group. For ten years, as part of the Fidgets group, Vlad has performed at concert venues not only in Russia, but all over the world, has successfully participated in music festivals in Italy, Bulgaria, Japan, Norway and won children's music competitions such as Morning Star, "Bravo Bravissimo" and others.
Since 1994, Vlad studied at a college in England, where he spent almost three years. In 1997, at the age of 12, he finally returned to Moscow.
Having left the ensemble "Fidgets", Vlad together with his friend, also a member of the ensemble, Sergei Lazarev, recorded several songs, including the aria "Belle" from the famous French musical "Notre Dame de Paris". In the summer of 2000, Mikhail Topalov invited his friend Vadim Andreev, a well-known jazz musician, to make new arrangements for the recordings of the Fidgets ensemble and to release a jubilee disc for the tenth anniversary of the ensemble. Mikhail and Vadim began work on this collection, while Vlad and Sergey were simultaneously preparing a surprise for Vlad's father's fortieth birthday - the recording of the ballad "Belle". The group emerged from two gifts. In December 2001, Vlad was a member of the duet "Smash !!" signed a contract with Universal Music Russia.
In April 2002, "Smash !!" shot their first video for the song "Should have loved you more". And in August of the same year, the group took first place in the competition for young performers in Jurmala "New Wave".
In March 2003, the first album of the group "Smash !!" was released. called "Freeway". The album went platinum and went through two re-releases.
In December 2004 the last album of the group "Smash !!" called "2nite". Immediately after the release of the album, information appeared that the duo had disbanded. The reason for this was the departure from the team of Sergei Lazarev.
In winter 2006 Vlad signed a contract with the Gramophone Music company.
On April 18, 2006 Vlad Topalov's first solo album "Lonely Star" was released.
In the summer of 2006, Vlad Topalov graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities and received a law degree.
On April 17, 2008, Vlad Topalov's second solo album Let the Heart Decides will be released on the Nikitin label.
In 2011, the film "Inadequate People" was released, in which Vlad played a cameo role. In 2011 Vlad took part in the show "People's Star" (Ukraine) with an aspiring singer Olga Melnik.
