Princessa Avenue
In the summer of 2007, the Princessa Avenue group appeared, her “father”, Viktor Drobysh, created a Russian-Finnish musical group that sang songs both in Russian and in English. The well-known producer wanted to revive female rock in Russia and began to actively implement his plan: on MTV, a reality show “ROCK Girls” was organized, in which Drobysh was going to select the best of the many girls who own instruments and know English.
The new group included: Alexandra Gurkova, Anastasia Kirillova, Dayana Ramos-Laforte, Karina Shterzer and Diana Tsirekidze.
The approach was very serious: since they decided to create a rock band, then everything must correspond: the first album was recorded in the homeland of rock and roll and country - in the city of Nashville (Tennessee, USA) at the Blackbird Studio, as well as in Helsinki ( Finland) at the HERE studio.
The group is trying to cover everything at once: both Russia and Finland. In 2009, Princessa Avenue made it to the final of the qualifying round for Eurovision-2009 from Russia, and in the same year, the debut album Princessa # 1 was released in Finland.
However, the group did not achieve much popularity, and the soloists actively left it. After leaving Gurkova in 2011, Viktor Drobysh closed the project.
