Ysa Ferrer
Isa Ferrer was originally an actress. She was born on June 4, 1972 in the Algerian city of Oran, and at the age of 2, she moved with her parents to France, where, having matured slightly and studied at the acting school, she began acting in films and television series. At the same time, she wrote music and at some point realized that she wanted to sing more than to shine on the screen. Then she stopped acting and concentrated on her singing career.
Ise is helped to compose music by a certain Daniel Castano, whom she calls her Pygmalion. From under their pen there are compositions that they themselves call "Cosmic Pop": for the pop melody, on the one hand, and for the complexity of electronic arrangements, on the other.
Objectively, Isa Ferrer can be compared to Mylene Farmer: the same sublime but catchy melodies, rich arrangements that are not typical of popular pop music, and provocative texts about sex. Ferrer even collaborated at one point with Alain Escalle, the visual effects director at Pharme's concerts. However, there are also differences, because Isa Ferrer is focused on a younger audience. First of all, we are talking about the rather active use of heavy rock guitars by Ferrer. And, of course, her vocals are not as distinctive as those of Pharme and are aimed at a much wider audience.
At one time, Ferrer's song "Made In Japan", which she wrote under the impression of traveling in the Far East, was very popular in Russia.
Isa Ferrer is currently working on a new album and preparing a tour of European club venues.
