Musician, Singer
Real name: Алекса́ндр И́горевич Рыба́к (Alexander Igoryevich Rybak)
Country: Norway
Carier start: 2009
Genre: Pop music  Russian pop
The most notable achievement of Alexander Rybak is the victory at Eurovision-2009 in Moscow, but much more is expected from him than from the average Eurosong champion, many of whom were quickly forgotten. In addition to the song "Fairytale", which spread into thousands of ringtones, Rybak bribed the audience (primarily the Scandinavian and post-Soviet) with sincerity, charm and integrity, rare for show business.

Alexander Rybak's path to Russian pop stars turned out to be winding, since he did not set such career goals for himself. Sasha was born in Belarus on May 13, 1986, and at the age of five he emigrated to Norway with his musician parents. After that, he was not at home for 18 years. The fishermen managed to come to Belarus in the summer of 2009 - in the rank of the winner of Eurovision and practically a national hero: the “dictator” chose not to persecute his compatriot, but to be proud of him.

Prior to Eurovision, Alexander studied music, played in the theater, participated in competitions, becoming a fairly popular figure in Norway. After Eurovision, he released the disc “Fairytales”, in which he found a place for both classics and original folk-pop works. Although Rybak dreamed of English-speaking markets, staging his own musical and collaborating with Andrew Lloyd Webber, in reality he was in great demand in Russia, Ukraine and Scandinavia. In the rest of Europe, it is still popular primarily among the specific Eurovision community.

At the end of 2009, Alexander Rybak made a small tour of Russia and took part in the presentation of the Olympic symbols of Sochi-2014 and the recording of the soundtrack for the film "Black Lightning" (performing a song by Arkady Ukupnik). The release of the second album is planned for the summer of 2010, and in the second half of the year he plans to release the first completely Russian-language disc and come with big concerts to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
