Billie Myers

Before taking up music, Billy, the daughter of an Englishwoman and Jamaican, worked as an insurance agent and nurse. By the time of the release of her first album Growing, Pains (1997) she was 26 years old, and her very first single Kiss The Rain entered the English Top 20. The album itself eventually reached the status of "gold" (over 500,000 copies sold).

In 2000, the album Vertigo was released, and in 2009 the Internet release of the next album, Tea & Sympathy, took place. Billy openly declares her bisexual orientation and participates in public actions of like-minded people - in 2006 she performed at gay pride parades in Los Angeles and New York.
