Spice Girls
Spice Girls were conceived exclusively as a production project with one goal - to assemble a vocal girl band consisting of girls for every taste and color, from cute and pretty to ugly. The magnificent five was revealed to the world in 1994, and the very first hits of the group - "Wannabe" and "Say You'll Be There" exploded the charts. The tabloids were full of seditious headlines that Britain had not known such a success since the days of The Beatles, and five muzzles flaunted almost on every girl's T-shirt. The band's popularity grew at an alarming rate. The debut album "Spice" was followed by the second disc "Spiceworld" with which a feature film of the same name was released (apparently, the Beatles' laurels did not give the girls peace of mind), where one of the key roles was played by "James Bond" Roger Moore. and among the participants were Elton John, Bob Geldof, Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. But in the wake of the growing popularity, Halliwell leaves the group, and things are not going so smoothly for the group that has become a quartet. All the participants are trying to start a solo career, in addition, age takes its toll - yesterday's girls are turning into solid pop matrons. The album "Forever", released in 2000, became the band's last studio work. The short reunion of the quintet in 2007 and 2008 did not gain much success (especially from critics Victoria Beckham), but the girls do not exclude the possibility of trying to return to the big stage again. Who knows, maybe they will succeed?
