She was born on December 9, 1988 in an ordinary Siberian family. Birth name - Raya. Parents divorced. Cousin Georgy Zotov, a well-known half-defender footballer, plays for Metallurg, a graduate of the Moscow Lokomotiv. There is a younger sister, Catherine. As a child, Raya was engaged in ballroom dancing. Has no musical education. At the age of 18 she tried to get on the "NEW WAVE", but did not pass. Raya started going to auditions for music competitions.
Success came in 2010 after winning the “new hit” contest on radio, the new wave in Ukraine passed the selection and took 1st place. Before that, the pseudonym "Pachulya" was invented. In 2011, she became the winner of the international competition "YOUNG VOCAL", where she took first place. At the beginning of 2012, "Pachulya" meets with Sergei Zhukov, the founder of the group "Hands Up", after which the singer's repertoire changes and the pseudonym to RAЯ! On October 1, 2012, her first single "It's Not Simple" was released. The composition reached the final "Breakthrough in the Web". For the first time, the singer was seen on TV with the song "YOU + YA", thanks to which RAЯ became the winner as the best pop singer of the music program.
The singer releases successful tracks one after another, all songs are rotated on the most popular radio stations in the country, including "It's Not Simple", "You + Me", "Horizon", of course, the undisputed breakthrough of autumn 2013 - the incendiary track "Contact Impossible" which now takes 11th place in the hit parade!
