"Guests from the Future" is a Russian pop group that emerged in 1996 in St. Petersburg. Founded by two musicians - Yuri Usachev and Evgeny Arsentiev. After 1998, it is represented by two performers - Yuri Usachev (ideologist and music author) and Eva Polna (vocalist, lyricist and co-author of music). The group became famous thanks to the help of DJ Groove, famous in Russia and the CIS, who played records in the Titanic nightclub.

The disc “Through Hundreds of Years” (1997), recorded together with Evgeny Arsentiev in one night, remained unknown to anyone. The Russian pop scene was not ready for jungle and ambient experiments. The attempt not to follow the fashion, but to create it ourselves - failed.

In 1999, the second album "Run from Me" was released, after which popularity came to the group. In the same year the group for the first time takes part in the festival "Song of the Year" and reaches the final with the song "Dislike".

In 2000, the album "Winter in the Heart" was released. After the successful release of the album of the same name and the following disc "Guests from the Future", they rushed to numerous tours. In 1999, the band hit the song "Winter in the Heart", in 2000 - "Games". The video for this composition, filmed during a tour of London, gained great popularity.

After a powerful wave of success, the band broke off relations with their producer and recorded a new album - "This is stronger than me". The third album was not only commercially successful, but also elevated the group to the cult status.

At the end of spring, the NIKITIN record company released its fourth album, This Is Stronger Than Me. Part 1". At the same time, the albums "Sand Time" (previously unreleased work of the group - songs were recorded in the style of acid-jazz and drum and bass) and "Through hundreds of years" (previously unreleased work of the group - songs were recorded in the style of ambient and lounge) were released. In the same year, "Best" was released - a collection of the best hits + a new song "Love me in French".

In 2002, another album "Eva" was released. The single "Love me in French", which firmly settled in the first places of the charts, only once again indicated the scale of the group's popularity. The entire album was completely recorded on a computer, practically without the help of any instruments. The only "live" (and already familiar to the duet) was the guitar.

In 2003, another studio album, “This is stronger than me. Part 2".

On August 12, 2004, the presentation of a new album of remixes of Guests from the future "Traffic Rules" took place. The work, almost entirely consisting of remixes of their own "hits".

The album "More than Songs", which went on sale in June 2005, the title track of which - "The Best in You" - did not leave radio and television for more than six months, once again confirmed the fact that "Guests from the Future" are included in five of the most popular bands on the modern pop scene.

In 2007 the last album of the group "Za zvezdoi" was released.

In 2009, Yuri Usachev left the group, and Eva Polna began her solo career.
