Black Veil Brides is an American music group playing glam metal music.
In November 2009, rhythm guitarist David Burton, who joined the group in 2008, left the group due to disagreements. After leaving, he started a new project "House of Glass" with previous guitarist Chris Bluser, who left the band at the same time. Their demo album featuring Andy Biersack's songs was posted on MySpace. The Black Veil Brides later claimed that the songs on House of Glass were for the band's upcoming debut album and that Burton had re-recorded them with his own voice. Burton said that he wrote the songs before joining the group and the songs were intended for his demo album. Since the House of Glass demo album was released before the Black Veil Brides album We Stitch These Wounds, the band had to change the song titles from Funeral in Flames to Beautiful Remains and Alive and Burning to "All Your Hate". Only the song "Sweet Blasphemy" was released under the same name as on the album "House of Glass".
In September 2009, the band signed to StandBy Records. In December 2009, the band undertook their first American tour, titled "On Leather Wings". The band's debut album, We Stitch These Wounds, was released on July 10, 2010 and sold over 10,000 copies in its first week. The album peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and at number one on the Billboard Independent Chart. Later, in 2010, the band supported tours for bands such as The Birthday Massacre, Dommin and Aural Vampire. In October 2010, the band performed with Motionless in White.

"Set the World on Fire" - The band's second studio album was released on June 14, 2011 by Lava Records, and the album cover was unveiled in April. The title track from the album "Set the World on Fire" was supposed to be the soundtrack for Scream 4, but it was announced on May 23 that the song will be one of the soundtracks for the movie "Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon". The music video for the song "Fallen Angels" was filmed at the end of April and debuted on May 1 in the UK and May 3 in the US. Also video clips were shot for the songs "The legacy" and "Rebel love song".
