Static-X

Before moving to Chicago and then California, Wayne Static grew up in Shelby, Michigan. He was three years old when he received a toy guitar. At the age of seven, his parents decided to give him his first real S12 guitar. He received lessons in the game that paid off a year later when he won a talent competition with the song Slip to My Lou. At 12, Wayne played in his first band. While playing in this group, he decided that he wanted to become a musician. Wayne attended high school in Shelby and also worked part-time jobs during the summer, working as an asparagus picker and in a cherry canning factory.
After moving to Chicago, Wayne Static formed his first band, Deep Blue Dream, with Ken Jay. But the group did not last long, as they moved to California, where a group was already formed, which included Tony Campos and Koichi Fukuda.
The static was known for his unusual hairstyle: his hair was kept upright. The process of creating it took about 20 minutes.
In July 2007, Wayne Static announced that he would start his solo project, Pighammer, but in a December 2007 interview with Ultimate-Guitar.com, Wayne Static said, “Pighammer, this is my solo project that I will do when I have more free time. For now, Static-X will remain my top priority. "
Static is featured on the cover of Static-X's 2009 album, Cult of Static.
In recent years, Wayne Static has toured with session musicians as part of his solo project Pighammer after finishing recording his first solo album.
