Chris Isaak

Musician, Singer, Actor
Real name: Кристофер Джозеф Айзек (Christopher Joseph Isaak)
Country: USA
Carier start: 1984
Genre:
Chris Isaac was born in California in 1956 to a family of working parents who loved to listen to country and rock and roll at their leisure, so the boy's musical education began literally from the cradle. Chris especially loved the recordings of the "king" - Elvis Presley. Chris also played boxing, but left this hobby for a musical career.

Returning in 1984 from Japan, where he studied as an exchange student, Chris founded the band Silvertone and released an album of the same name, but neither he nor the subsequent solo recording entitled "Chris Isaak" (1987) had a resounding success, despite the fact that Isaac the first hit has already appeared - "Blue Hotel". The musician's modest achievements did not suit his record company Warner Bros., so after the next album, "Heart Shaped World" (1989) did not climb the charts above 149, Warner wanted to terminate Isaac's contract, explaining that that melancholic 50s-style ballads are not commercially viable. Chris still kept the contract with the company, but he was forced to make music for films.

Here Chris and fame awaited - the instrumental version of his song "Wicked Game" was used by filmmaker David Lynch for the soundtrack to the movie "Wild at Heart". When the film was released, the ballad became mega-popular - all radio stations in America began to play its vocal version, and Isaac became very famous. Unfortunately, "Wicked Game" remained Isaac's only major hit. After his success on the film stage, he decided to star in films: the most famous for his roles in "The Little Buddha" by Bertolucci, as well as "Twin Peaks" and "Silence of the Lambs" by David Lynch. As for music, Isaac does not change his repertoire and continues to record sad blues ballads in the spirit of the 50s. In 2001-2004, Chris was the host of his own TV show.
