Ola Svensson (Swedish Ola Svensson, 23 February 1986, Lund) is a Swedish pop singer.
His story began in southern Sweden in the city of Lund, where he was born on February 23, 1986, becoming the third boy in a family where his two half-brothers, Jonas and Daniel, were already growing up (Ula's parents adopted them from El Salvator). Since childhood, the boy had two interests - sports and music. But he got used to associating all his hopes with football, in which he achieved great success. However, this did not prevent him from attending a music school and singing in the choir of the city cathedral with his grandfather, who instilled in his grandson a love of singing.
Everything changed in 2005, when friends offered Ole to be selected for the IDOL competition (an analogue of the Star Factory and People's Artist). The jury assessed the boy's vocal abilities, and he became one of the participants. Due to a not very successful performance with the song "Cry me a river" Ula soon dropped out of the project, eventually becoming the eighth. Nevertheless, he impressed the jury, the audience and the producers. In the fall of 2005, when IDOL 2005 ended, Ula had already signed a contract for the release of the first solo album with the self-explanatory name Given to fly. The album immediately hit the top of the Swedish charts and was a success.
His second album Good Enough, released in 2008, was again a success and was also released in Poland with minor track listing changes. In the same year, Ola received the prestigious Rockbjornen award for the best song of the year - "Feelgood". In 2008, Ola took part for the first time in the Swedish selection for Eurovision - Melodifestivalene - with the song "Love in stereo". Not reaching the final, he received the so-called "Second Chance" - went to the department, where songs and performers were given another attempt to win. But “Love in stereo” didn’t get out of “Second Chance” either, becoming a hit in summer 2008.
The second time Ula participated in the Melodifestivalen in 2010 with the song “Unstoppable”. This time he easily became a finalist, but in the end remained in 7th place. And again, this did not prevent the song from being in all the charts of the country.
Only 5 singles of Ula went gold and 3 - platinum. In total, his albums and singles have been at the top of the charts for 22 weeks. 7 singles Ula reached number one [1] in the charts. In the fall of 2010, Ola announced the release of the third album OLA, released on his own label OLINIHO (Ulino). “Why not try to make all the decisions yourself,” he commented on the creation of his campaign. Oliniho's logo was a singing angel, which has since appeared in every music video of the singer. He calls him "Magic Child". Ula considers him to be her symbol - The magic child knows how to dream and believes in the fulfillment of his dreams, the musician says.
The main hit from the third album was the song "All over the World", the video for which was filmed in New York. It was with this song that Ula began to conquer Europe. British music portal Scandipop named it the best single of 2010. In 2011, Ola signed a contract to release the song in England with the British label 3Beat. The clip appeared in the rotation of many music TV channels in Europe. The song gradually entered the rotation of the best radio stations in England, including a music program on the BBC. In August 2011, the album Ola was released in South Africa. On October 4, 2011, the single All over the world was released by Ultra records on I-tunes in the USA, and on October 9 in the UK
