Гости из будущего
"Guests from the Future" is a Russian pop group that emerged in 1996 in St. Petersburg. Founded by two musicians - Yuri Usachev and Evgeny Arsentiev. After 1998, it is represented by two performers - Yuri Usachev (ideologist and music author) and Eva Polna (vocalist, lyricist and co-author of music). The group became famous thanks to the help of DJ Groove, famous in Russia and the CIS, who played records in the Titanic nightclub.
The disc “Through Hundreds of Years” (1997), recorded together with Evgeny Arsentiev in one night, remained unknown to anyone. The Russian pop scene was not ready for jungle and ambient experiments. The attempt not to follow the fashion, but to create it ourselves - failed.
In 1999, the second album "Run from Me" was released, after which popularity came to the group. In the same year the group for the first time takes part in the festival "Song of the Year" and reaches the final with the song "Dislike".
In 2000, the album "Winter in the Heart" was released. After the successful release of the album of the same name and the following disc "Guests from the Future", they rushed to numerous tours. In 1999, the band hit the song "Winter in the Heart", in 2000 - "Games". The video for this composition, filmed during a tour of London, gained great popularity.
