American rapper and actor Cornell Haynes was born on November 2, 1974, he is known under the pseudonym Nelly. He started his career in the group “St. Lunatics ". Then the singer signed a contract with Universal Records, thanks to which he recorded 6 studio albums.

In eight years of his career, he has sold over 30 million copies of his albums. Winner of four Grammys in 2003 and 2004, he was awarded the 3rd place in the rating of performers of the first decade of the XXI century according to Billboard magazine.

He made his acting debut in 2005 in the All or Nothing film with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock.
