Известный клип Ace Of Base – «Life Is A Flower» вышел в 1998 году. Основателями группы считаются Юнас Берггрен и Ульф Экберг, музыканты экспериментировали в стиле техно. Первоначально коллектив назывался Kalinin Prospect («проспект Калинина»), CAD (Computer-Aided Disco), потом Tech-Noir, но в конце концов был переименован в Ace of Base (в названии наблюдается игра слов, поэтому существует несколько вариантов перевода, например, «козырной туз». Но как объяснял Ульф, выбранное словосочетание само по себе звучит неплохо, да и первая студия группы находилась в подвале.
