Знаменитый клип Deep Purple - "Call Of The Wild" вышел в 1987 году. Трек вошел в альбом The House of Blue Light. Группа собралась для записи альбома 12 апреля 1986 года в Массачусетсе, США, но закончила запись в Вермонте. По словам Ричи Блэкмора, запись этого альбома была долгим и мучительным процессом, многие треки пришлось перезаписывать. 26 сентября 1986 года Роджер Гловер начал сведение альбома в Union Studios в Мюнхене. Предполагалось, что все участники группы будут присутствовать, чтобы внести окончательные корректировки, но музыканты пришли и покинули студию, когда захотят.
