The Rolling Stones – <p>The Rolling Stones is a British rock band formed on July 12, 1962 and competing in popularity with The Beatles for many years. The Rolling Stones are considered one of the most influential and successful bands in rock history. The Rolling Stones, which manager Andrew Meadow Oldham had envisioned to become a &quot;rebellious&quot; alternative to The Beatles, were advertised as &quot;the greatest rock &#39;n&#39; roll group in the world&quot; in 1969 during the American tour and managed to maintain this status to this day.</p><p> The Rolling Stones&#39; musical style, influenced by Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Muddy Waters, has taken on individual traits over time; the authoring duo Jagger-Richards eventually gained worldwide recognition.</p><p> The band has released twenty-two studio and eight live albums in the UK.</p><p> The Rolling Stones&#39; worldwide album circulation has exceeded 250 million, 200 million of which have been sold in the United States; according to these indicators, the group is one of the most successful in history.
