Queen

Queen is a cult British rock band that achieved worldwide fame in the 70s of the twentieth century. Queen is one of the most successful bands in the history of rock music. Their songs such as "Bohemian Rhapsody", "We Will Rock You", "We Are the Champions", "Innuendo", "The Show Must Go On", "Radio Ga Ga", "Princes of the Universe" are considered rock classics.

Queen are also renowned for their pioneering video clips in the field of special effects and editing. In particular, the video for the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" filmed in 1975 is called the key in the history of music videos.

After the death of Freddie Mercury in 19991 (vocalist of Queen), the group practically ceased studio activities.

Some critics note the influence of other bands in the early works of the group, but the material recorded by Queen from the very beginning was distinguished by its own style of progressive rock, which was created due to intricate arrangements, the unique sound of Brian's electric guitar and soulful vocals. Mercury himself has repeatedly noted that their group "grew" on "Led Zeppelin" and Jimi Hendrix.

Queen belongs to the category of hard rock and glam rock, characteristic of the 1970s. They have often been compared to contemporaries such as Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Roxy Music.
